Lavender Therapy Soaps
White Dragon Therapies is dedicated to providing quality natural products. These handcrafted soaps have only the finest ingredients. Lavender Therapy Soaps are made in small batches using the “cold process” method, thereby retaining the natural glycerin that is produced during the saponification process. Glycerin naturally soothes and softens the skin. Many commercial soap manufacturers remove glycerin from their soap, thus leaving your skin dry and itchy.
The base of these natural handmade soaps is olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil. Tallow or animal fat is never an ingredient in Lavender Therapy handcrafted soaps. The natural handmade soap is scented and enriched with pure essential oils that are distilled from natural herbs, plants, and flowers.
Because these soaps are handcrafted, they are very unique in size, shape and characteristics. Each bar of soap is hand cut and weighs approximately 3.5 to 4 ounces. Handmade soap lasts longer than the commercial soaps found in retail stores. The aroma therapy and therapeutic values of the natural essential oils used to scent our soaps are listed in The Essential Oils Guide (see below).
Most of the natural herbs used in Lavender Therapy Soaps are organically grown (pesticide free) in an independent herb garden in Grants Pass, Oregon. The handmade soap is air-dried and aged for a minimum of four weeks to produce a mild, gentle, long-lasting bar of soap that is naturally high in glycerin. Lavender Therapy Soaps will leave your skin feeling smooth, soft, and re-hydrated.
Our skin is the largest organ of our body. It is our protection from the outside world, but also our filter that allows us to interact with our environment. Our skin absorbs and internalizes what we put on it – from simple lotions to powerful medications (there are many medications that are administered transdermally, or through the skin – nicotine patch, birth control patch, morphine, and more!). Everyday we have a choice – what are we going to put on our skin? Are we going to use a cheap, petrochemical-laden lotion, or a handmade lotion chock full of herbs, beneficial oils, and aromatherapeutic essential oils? Are we going to use a mass-produced “detergent” soap full of synthetic dyes and fragrances, or a natural, handmade soap made entirely of ingredients you can pronounce and understand?
Lavender is so much more than just a calming scent. It can also soothe and heal an amazing variety of ailments. This gentle herb has powerful harmonizing properties. The valuable therapeutic oil produced by lavender flowers can be used to treat troubles of the heart and mind. It is widely used by herbalists and aromatherapists to treat depression, but its healing properties also run to pain relief of a more physical kind.
Lavender can be used to treat a wide variety of complaints, from skin conditions to sleeping problems, and has virtually no side effects. Lavender is a natural relaxant, the perfect remedy to calm nerves, relieve muscle stress or mental anxiety, and can ease the tension from headaches. Its strong antiseptic properties effectively heal conditions such as acne or sunburn, speeds the healing process of minor cuts, bruises, burns, scrapes and insect bites. Lavender is a great natural skin tonic as it helps to balance oil production and prevents scarring. The relaxing, anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties make lavender an ideal treatment for both mental and physical menstrual woes.
